IMMORTAL MUSCLE
Ford Australia had no interest in racing its XD Falcon when the all-new model was launched in 1979. In fact, Ford wouldn’t even homologate the car so that privateers could race it. Fortunately, a disparate group of determined Ford racers led a rebellious campaign to get the new 351 V8 Falcon approved for competition.

MEMORABLE MUSCLE RACER
Terry Finnigan was the poster boy for Australian touring car racings’s privateer ranks during the 1980s and ‘90s. The Sydneysider was the epitome of the owner-operator for two decades, often scoring great results when th4e stars faltered.

CLASSIC FORD MUSCLE
On September 14, 1960, the Ford Motor Company of Australia launched the new Falcon, In 2010, as the Australian-made ‘bird of prey’ celebrates its 50th birthday, AMC highlights 50 famous high performance Falcons spanning 50 years of road and track.
