Joe Kenwright road tests FPV’s new FX6 SUV turbo road rocket and brings us right up to date on the new ‘Orion’ Falcon. Plus more memorabilia from our ‘Muscle Maniac’ James Cockington and a blast from the past with classic rallying.
Immortal Muscle
Kevin Bartlett and his Z28 Camaro did not win the ATCC or the Bathurst 1000, yet they are one of the most famous and revered car/driver combinations in Aussie touring car history. This is one of the all-time greats.
Essential Muscle – Buyers Guide
FPV and HSV build some awesome high performance utes, with the latest Cobra and Maloo versions continuing to raise the stakes. However, there was a time when Ford built some pretty tough muscle utes of its own, which are rare and collectable today.
Memorable Muscle Racers

Classic Quarter-Mile Muscle

Out of Action Muscle
Some Aussie muscle cars are bought new by loving owners who maintain them to a high standard. Others are not so lucky, being neglected and falling into disrepair. We hope one day they’ll all be rescued and restored to their former glory.
M.I.A Muscle
We have managed to track down Ron Harrop’s famous EH Holden-Repco, but it wasn’t too difficult to find as things turned out. The car has had only three owners and fortunately is still in one piece awaiting restoration. We’re also staging a new search this issue for a low-buck Torana, which jagged an amazing podium result at Bathurst.
