Speedway A Go Go

This publication was inspired by the fairly recent discovery of some previously unpublished colour photographs of speedway racing in the sixties. It soon eventuated that several photographers of that period were taking colour photographs even if there was little chance of them being published at the time. This then is an opportunity to try and show exactly what speedway racing was like in that very colourful decade. Even the best black and white images don’t quite capture the atmosphere. For those who have only heard how great speedway was in the sixties, this is a way of taking you back there.
