The
Australian Safari has always been one of the toughest motorsport
events in the world. It is the ultimate test of man and machine,
and the 2004 event was no exception as competitors including
Bathurst touring car legend Peter Brock faced the challenge
of thousands of kilometres of off-road racing through spectacular,
rugged outback NSW.
Kicking off at Bathurst, this gruelling event took in the inland
centres of Tamworth, Moree, Bourke, Tibooburra, Broken Hill, Cobar,
Narromine before returning for the finish at Bathurst, the spiritual
home of Australian motorsport.
Relive the highlights of this incredible eight-day motoring adventure
off-road racing, on two wheels and four, at its very best.
