The ultimate international action sports, lifestyle and music festival, Gravity Games H20 presented by Vodafone, hit Perth’s McCallum Park foreshore in Victoria Park, Western Australia, for four breathtaking days in October 2005.
Over 50,000 spectators watched an impressive line-up of 110 elite action sport athletes from around the world competing for more than AUD $170,000 in prize money across three medal events of Wakeboarding, Thundercats and Kiteboarding. Also on show was the high flying action of the Vert demonstrations in Skateboarding, BMX and Inline, as well as the death defying antics of the awesome Freestyle Motocross Riders and the most extreme musical event of the
year – the Gravity Soundwave concert.
The Gravity Games are the Olympics of the action sports world. Free-style motorcross, kite boarding, wakeboarding, and Thundercat Racing (wave jumping and surf racing in inflatable catamaran-style surf boats), and a lot more. In 2004 it came to Australia for the first time with the running of the Gravity Games H2O in Perth, and it just got bigger and better in 2005.
